Primary Care

Licensed clinicians provide primary care services, including family planning and medical care for acute illness and injury. Consultations with licensed nurses are available during clinic hours.

Women's Health

Annual Well Woman Examinations, pap tests, related lab tests and contraceptive services are available.

Psychiatric Services

SHS offers short term, transitional psychiatric services at no charge to active students.

Sports Medicine

Sports medicine is a branch of medicine that deals with physical fitness, treatment and prevention of injuries related to sports and exercise. Sports medicine not only benefits experienced athletes, but also amateur athletes of all ages. Proper exercise techniques as well as an understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the human body are a necessity in preventing and treating injuries.


The Student Health Pharmacy strives to keep costs for students as low as possible. We have a wide range of prescription and over the counter products and the cost is considerably lower than can be found at a retail pharmacy. We do not bill insurances.

Family PACT

Family PACT is a state-funded program that provides free family planning services to men and women who qualify.


The Student Health Services Laboratory is equipped to perform many basic laboratory tests. Routine in-house tests are free for students.  Students are charged a reduced rate for any test that must be sent to an off-campus laboratory.

Radiology / X-Rays

The Student Health Services Radiology department provides basic x-rays at no cost. Copies of these images are available for a nominal fee.

Health Resource Center and Alcohol Tobacco and Other Drugs

The Health Resource Center and Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs program provide free health education programs and services for CSULB students on campus and in the clinic.
