Mission Statement

The mission of Student Health Services is to support academic excellence by promoting physical and mental well-being, through affordable quality health services and education. Utilizing a team of dedicated professionals, we provide sensitive, confidential healthcare services to a diverse campus community.

SHS Hours:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 8:00a.m.-5:00p.m. Wednesday 9:00a.m.-5:00p.m. Closed weekends and campus holidays.

SHS will be participating in the Great California Shakeout on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2015 at 10:15 a.m. For more information on earthquake preparedness, go to

FREE flu shots are available on the following dates at the bookstore vending area on campus:

Oct 19 - 9am-2pm

Oct 27 - 11am-4pm

Nov 2 - 11am-4pm

Nov 19 - 11 am-4 pm

The Long Beach Department of Public Health in conjunction with American Red Cross nurses will be hosting the above flu clinics on campus. The ENTIRE campus community is welcome to receive the flu vaccine at these clinics, free of charge.

If you don't want to wait and you are a CSULB student, come to SHS and you can get your shot for $5! (appointments are strongly recommended at SHS but walk ins are welcome.)

Here is an example of what a State of California Immunization Record looks like (other states look similar). On the second page of the form, there is a section for the Measles Mumps Rubella (MMR) vaccines. If you have two dates completed here, then you are considered immune.
