    NCAA Division 1 Championships / Distinctions

    • For the fifth year in a row, CSULB won the Big West Commissioner's Cup for 2014–15, which recognizes CSULB as having the most successful athletic department in the Big West Conference. The 49ers have won the award in five of the last six seasons.

    • Women’s tennis, men’s track and field, and women’s volleyball all captured Big West
      championships in 2014–15. Men’s track and field has now won three straight titles,
      and women’s tennis has won the Big West Tournament Championship five years in a
      row and has won 11 out of the last 12 championships.

    • Championships include: baseball (4 College World Series, 20 NCAAs), women’s basketball
      (2 Final Fours, 18 national tournaments), women’s soccer (1 Elite Eight, 4 NCAAs), softball
      (5 College World Series, 22 NCAAs), men’s volleyball (1 NCAA title, 5 Final Fours), women’s
      volleyball (5 national titles, 35 national tournaments), men’s water polo (11 NCAAs).
