Yoga for Healing

Yoga for Healing

CSULB Student Health Services is excited to offer Yoga for Healing, an 8-week structured series for survivors of sexual assault, abuse and relationship violence. Our university believes in all forms of healing and this program explores reconnection to the self through mind, body, and spirit. This program provides survivors the means of becoming reacquainted with their bodies, helps them become grounded in the present moment, and allows them to explore the benefits of mindfulness as they link breath to movement in guided practice and meditation.

In spring 2017, we developed Yoga for Mood, a new 6-week structured series exploring the use of yoga, meditation and breathwork to manage mood states such as anger, anxiety and sadness. We plan to offer both series to students during the 2017-18 academic year. Using the menu on the right, please let us know if you are interested in any of these, or if you have suggestions for other programs that may be beneficial. Your health, safety and well-being are of the utmost importance to us. We are here to support your healing.
