Congratulations on making the residence halls your new home at The Beach. Move-In Day Saturday, August 20th, is around the corner and we want to make sure you have the information you need to make the move as easy as possible.
University Housing has created an informative move-in guide to provide you with important information you will need to know about moving and living at The Beach.
Like us on Facebook for important updates about Move-In Day and Week of Welcome events.
A requirement for students living in University Housing is to show proof of being vaccinated against meningococcal disease. It is required, if you are not already vaccinated, to receive your meningococcal vaccine prior to the start of the Fall 2016 semester. Please review "Student Health Services Meningococcal Information for Residents" for further details.
* Student Health Services will be located in the Move-In tent to collect your vaccination record.
The Title IX Workshops (mandatory) have been scheduled based on the building you are living in and will take place on SUNDAY, AUGUST 21st.
The California State University requires that prevention and education programs be provided to students and employees on Sex Discrimination, Sexual Harassment, Sexual Misconduct, Dating and Domestic Violence and Stalking. This is in compliance with the California Education Code and federal legislation. Such training is required for new students and then annually for returning students.
We want you to be safe on campus and to know how to prevent, identify and report issues related to the above categories of misconduct. In addition, we want all students to know about campus and off-campus resources that will help students, who are victims/survivors. As part of this compliance all residents are required to attend a mandatory workshop. Please go here for a schedule of workshop times by residence hall.
As a fundraiser, and as a convenience for you, we have partnered with Collegiate Concepts, Inc (CCI) to exclusively provide CSULB residence hall students with the MicroFridge and the SafeConcepts electronic safe exclusively for a number of reasons: superior product, commitment to service, reasonable cost and satisfaction guarantee. In addition, part of the proceeds from each rental or sale goes directly to the Residence Hall Association so that we can plan additional fun activities for you next year.
The MicroFridge consists of a microwave oven and a refrigerator with separate freezer. The true zero degree freezer can store frozen food. And yes, it is Energy Star rated.
The electronic safe allows you to store your valuables such as your wallet/purse, digital camera, cell phone and most importantly, your laptop computer. The unique design allows you to charge your electronic devices while stored in the safe.
