Summer Conference Assistant of Technology

Summer Conference Assistant of Technology is a live-in summer position to assist Summer Conference guests and summer students with technical assistance. Our conference guests reside with us for short and/or long term overnight accommodations. Summer Conference Assistant of Technology play a critical role in providing excellent customer service, assuring our guests technology needs are meet while ensuring the safety and security of our housing community. Duties include but not limited to assist conference guest and summer students with technical support, program doors, and create content for Housing website and social media.

Resident Assistant of Technology

The Resident Assistant of Technology is a live-in position with such responsibilities as assisting residents connect to the university network, addressing violations of campus network policy, providing cable television troubleshooting as well as other technological and media related duties as assigned.  Other duties include but are not limited to setup Audio Visual equipment for events, assist staff with tech equipment, program doors and badges, office related duties, and create content for Housing and Residential Life Staff.

Summer Conference Assistants

Summer Conference Assistants provide administrative and customer service support for CSULB summer operations. The most important aspects of this position are customer service, attention to detail, the ability to work as a team, flexibility to work in an environment with changing schedules and deadlines and a willingness to serve. Residential Coordinator

The Residential Coordinator Position is a 10.5-month graduate student assistant appointment that works directly with professional and student staff to create inclusive communities in an effort to fulfill our departmental mission. Residential Coordinators must live in an assigned apartment within University Housing. Residential Coordinators (in conjunction with their supervisors) handle daily operations within the residence hall community, including but not limited to: staff supervision and training, residential curriculum implementation, student leadership development and advising, community development support, student behavior management, serving in the on-call rotation, working closely with maintenance and custodial staff, and administrative and departmental responsibilities.

Area Coordinator

The Area Coordinator is a live-in professional who plays a critical role in managing the components of a comprehensive residential life program through the coordination of the residential life staff, programs, services and facilities in the Residential Life. The incumbent is required to live in on campus in University-provided accommodations so that emergency response requirements can be effectively and promptly. The Area Coordinator provides leadership, role modeling, supervision, and guidance in creating vibrant, inclusive, and enriching residential communities housing between 700 and 1100 residents. Area Coordinators handle all daily operations within their assigned residential college(s) as well as play key roles in staff supervision and training, residential programs, Residential Curriculum development and implementation, student behavior management, and facilities management. Area Coordinators directly supervise three graduate level Residence Coordinators, indirectly supervise 18-25 RAs, and oversee desk operations including Student Assistant supervision. Area Coordinators also serve as hearing officers, participate in departmental initiatives, and lead or serve on committees as needed.
