Faculty-in-Residence

Apply to become a Faculty-in-Residence. Faculty-in-Residence (FIR) are CSULB full-time tenured or tenured track faculty members who live in an apartment in one of the residential colleges and serves 10 hours per week as liaisons between faculty and students while also encouraging the social, intellectual and academic involvement of students living in the residential halls. Summer Conference (Leads & Assistants)

During the summer we offer housing for students in addition to operating a conference program. Our conference guests reside with us for short and/or long term overnight accommodations. Summer Conference Leads (SCL) and Assistants (SCA) play a critical role in providing excellent customer service, assuring our guests programs run smoothly while ensuring the safety and security of our housing community. Resident Assistant of Technology

The Resident Assistant of Technology is a live-in position with such responsibilities as assisting residents connect to the university network, addressing violations of campus network policy, providing cable television troubleshooting as well as other technological and media related duties as assigned.
