Services Provided

Students must meet the following criteria in order to be eligible to receive Cal-SOAP services:

  1. Be a California elementary or secondary school student and
  2. Meet one or more of the following:
    • Be low-income, or
    • Be first in their family to attend college, or
    • Be from a school or geographic region with documented low-eligibility or college going rates

The dedicated Cal-SOAP team supports students' sense of belonging and confidence by providing a positive environment for learning and success. Together, we provide eligible students and their parents access to individual and group sessions related to:

  • Preparing for college (e.g. choosing a college, selecting a major, etc.)
  • FAFSA, financial aid, and financial literacy assistance
  • CA Dream Act Application assistance
  • Access to college fairs and college tours
  • College application assistance
  • College-Prep Summer Academies
  • Career exploration and preparation
  • Learning and success skills
