MISSION

As part of Beach 2030, the Health & Wellness Committee supports students, staff, faculty, and administration in creating and sustaining a culture of wellness across the campus community by:

  • promoting wellness as part of the daily campus culture
  • organizing wellness resources and activities for the campus community
  • connecting University wellness providers to strengthen wellness resources and networks
  • advocating for wellness in the development of University policy and procedure

VISION

The CSULB Wellness Committee will be known for creating a sustainable, holistic culture of wellness around mind, body and spirit focused on the campus community.

Basic Needs Logo

Basic Needs Programs

The Basic Needs Program provides programs and services for students related to food and housing security. Program include the Student Emergency Intervention & Wellness Program, CalFresh Outreach Program, the ASI Beach Pantry, and the Beach Bites mobile application



Beach Balance Logo

Beach Balance/Student Recreation & Wellness Center

Part of the Student Recreation and Wellness Center, Beach Balance offers various educational opportunities including nutrition, stress management, biofeedback, and overall health education programs.



BMAC Logo

Bob Murphy Access Center (BMAC)

BMAC assists students with disabilities by providing support services including accommodations for classroom activities, career development resources, disability-related counseling, and academic advising



CARES Logo

Campus Assessment, Response & Evaluation For Students Team (CARES)

The goal of the CARES Team is to provide support and resources in an effort to promote optimal health and safety of students and all members of the campus community.



CAPS Logo

Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS)

CAPS provides students with brief individual counseling, group counseling, referrals services, psychoeducational workshops, and crisis intervention to help students meet their personal challenges associated with identifying and accomplishing academic, career, and life goals.

Equity & Diversity/Title IX

Equity & Diversity reviews and investigates allegations of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation related to protected status* as well as sexual misconduct, sexual harassment, dating/domestic violence, and stalking at CSULB. Equity & Diversity also handles accommodations for employees, including student workers, provides trainings to campus constituents, and manages related Federal and State legal compliance requirements for students, employees, and University third parties. (*Protected Statuses include: Age, Disability, Gender, Gender Identity, Gender Expression, Genetic Information, Marital Status, Medical Condition, Nationality, Race or Ethnicity, Religion, Sexual Orientation, and Veteran or Military Status).

Free, confidential resource to help you resolve personal, family, or workrelated problems before they disrupt your life. Services directly provided by FSAP are available only by appointment at no cost to you

Student Health Services/Office of Wellness and Health Promotion

Student Health Services promotes physical and mental wellbeing by providing quality health services and education to students. The Office of Wellness and Health Promotion offers a comprehensive range of health education services and programs including nutrition counseling, acupuncture, Koru Mindfulness, and Yoga for Healing.
