Health Status and Risk Behavior Survey

The purpose of the Health Status and Risk Behavior Survey is to investigate the health status and risk behaviors of CSULB Athletic, Greek Life, and Residential Life in order to improve our services at the Student Health Services. This survey is implemented every two years.

CSULB Beach Recovery

The purpose of the grant focuses on addiction recovery and prevention for young people, and committed to erasing the social stigma associated with addiction and alcoholism. We support and collaborate with those who transform lives while transforming the very perception of recovery. TheFoundation is currently conducting a national study to identify the community assets that can help college students in recovery to thrive. Their goal is to support 100 new collegiate recovery programs over the next three years.

What Is a Risk Management Approach?

Risk management refers to strategies designed to reduce the potential for loss before it occurs. Risk management as we will use it in this project includes the following elements:

  • Risk assessment Identifying those factors and behaviors that pose particular risks to students
  • Risk prevention and reduction changing the circumstances that pose the greatest risk so that the problems are less likely to occur.
  • Risk monitoring Continually assessing existing and potential circumstances that can lead to risk.
