The Division of Student Affairs at Long Beach State University provides high-quality services that contribute to the academic and personal success of our students by focusing on their needs outside of the classroom. By operating under the framework of putting students first, the Division collaborates with students, staff, and faculty across campus and with community partners to assist students in achieving their educational goals of a highly-valued degree, graduate and professional studies, employment, and responsible citizenship.
With more than 30 departments and programs, the Division of Student Affairs provides a wide array of services that range from promoting student health and wellness such as the Student Health Center, Counseling and Psychological Services, and the Student Emergency Intervention and Wellness Program, to programs serving students from traditionally underserved communities such as the Educational Opportunity Program, Dream Success Center, and Multicultural Affairs, as well as Housing and Residential Life and Associated Students, Inc. We also offer Extended Hours (PDF) in many of our departments to better serve students. For a complete list of our departments and programs, please click here.
We are proud to serve as advocates for our diverse student population. We hope you will take some time to view our website and locate information about services and activities that support your engagement on our campus. Please do not hesitate to reach out at any time.
