As of Fall 2016, University Honors Students are eligible for President's Scholarships,the most prestigious merit-based scholarships awarded by CSULB. In addition, UHP provides a support network for students seeking scholarships. Each semester, the UHP partners with the Center for Scholarship Information to introduce students to the multitude of on-campus scholarships; "Big Scholarships" workshops are also held in an effort to inform students about nationally- and internationally-renowned scholarships as well as help them ensure their eligibility and competitiveness.

Awarded to help fund advanced research projects or teaching English abroad, this scholarship is awarded based on the feasibility of the proposed project and high academic and/or professional achievement.
Established by Bill and Melinda Gates with the largest grant ever given to a British University, the Gates Scholarship is awarded to students from outside the UK looking to pursue graduate studies at the University of Cambridge.
Awarded to as many as 90 new students each year, this scholarship covers most fees and expenses incurred while studying at Cambridge.
The Goldwater Scholarship is offered by the Excellence in Education Foundation to academically committed and high achieving students.
Awards are given based on their field of study and career objective, demonstrated commitment and potential to making a significant contribution to their chosen field, and high academic success. Recipients are awarded a maximum of $7,500 annually for undergraduate work and fees.
Awarded by the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation, this scholarship is given to students based on artistic and creative merit and financial need.
Recipients may be awarded as much as $50,000.
Awardees are given up to $24,000 to pursue graduate-level research in Constitutional Studies.
People hoping to receive this scholarship must be a U.S. citizen and possess a bachelor’s degree or plan to no later than August 31 of the year in which they are applying.
Funded by Marshall Aid Commemoration Commission, the Marshall Scholarship covers most expenses incurred while pursuing graduate studies at one of several British Universities for two to three years.

The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi selects members by invitation only and awards numerous scholarships every year for graduate work, study abroad, literacy projects, and more. These awards range from $500 to $5,000.
Selection is based on scholarly achievement, campus community involvement, leadership experience, and the scope of the proposed programs.
A highly prestigious award, the Rhodes scholarship covers expenses while attending Oxford University in the United Kingdom.
Those given the scholarship show high literary and scholastic attainments, energy to use one’s talents to the full as exemplified by fondness for success in sports, and demonstrated the virtues of truth, courage, devotion to duty, sympathy for and protection of the weak, kindliness, unselfishness and fellowship, moral force of character and instincts to lead, and to take an interest in one’s fellow beings.
Truman scholars are awarded up to $30,000 for graduate studies in the public service fields. Applicants must have a well thought out application, particularly in the section devoted to policy, academics, and one’s professional plan.
Applicants should be aware that the process of application is extensive and covers many topics. Preference is given to those who demonstrate promise for a successful career in public service or non-profit pursuits.
This scholarship, which ranges from $350-$5,000, is awarded to students based on the ideals of community service and leadership, academic achievement, and demonstrated commitment to tribal and/or environmental interests.
