The University Honors Program at California State University, Long Beach, challenges and enriches the educational experience of high-achieving students through its commitment to academic excellence and undergraduate research, mentorship and professionalism, and meaningful engagement both on campus and in the surrounding communities.
As of Fall 2016, University Honors Students are eligible for President’s Scholarships, the most prestigious merit-based scholarships awarded by CSULB.
As part of its mission, the Honors Program:
Honors students become part of a vibrant community that is dedicated to academic success and personal growth. By providing educational opportunities like scholarship/internship workshops and library research seminars, the UHP wants to maximize the undergraduate experience at CSULB. The UHP also hosts a series of events throughout the semester, which will present students with ample opportunities to actively engage in the culture of the Honors Program and to find new friends on this comparatively large CSU campus. Excellent, personalized advising will help students navigate the University curriculum and UHP priority registration will allow them early access to the classes they need on their road to graduation.
