The Division of Academic Affairs is pleased to announce the availability of funds to support Research, Scholarly and Creative Activity (RSCA) and Mini Grants/Summer Stipends (MGSS) for 2017-18. The deadline to apply is Monday, February 6 at 5 p.m.
A faculty member is allowed to apply for only one of the four awards in a given year:

All tenured, probationary, and full-time lecturers are eligible to compete for Reassigned Time and Small Faculty Grants. Support will be available in the form of:
Reassigned Time — Equal to three (3) units per AY, to support the following activities: basic, applied, or developmental research and creative activities.
Small Faculty Grants — Not to exceed $5000, may be used for: student assistance, minor equipment or materials and supplies, travel to advance RSCA.
Each academic college administers the award process for Reassigned Time and Small Faculty Grants.
Faculty members receiving new faculty reassigned time are only eligible to apply for Small Faculty Grants.

The Chancellor’s Office will provide system-level funding for mini-grants and summer stipends (MGSS). All members of Unit 3 (all lecturers, probationary faculty, tenured faculty, librarians, coaches, and counselors) are eligible to compete for mini-grants and summer stipends. Support will be available in the form of:
Each college review committee, the college dean, and the university MGSS committee will review and provide recommendations.
MGSS Applications will be submitted, reviewed and awarded via Info-Ready, an online Research Competition Space. Please log-in to Info Ready to submit your application by Monday, February 6 by 5 p.m.
