Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry receives a NSF Major Research Instrumentation Award

SmartProb Sampler

A team of faculty members in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry were awarded $333,504 from the National Science Foundation for the acquisition of a 400 MHz nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectrometer with an autosampler and auto-tune multi-nuclei SmartProb. The instrument will provide faculty and students with the fundamental and necessary analytical technology to support the increasingly complex and diverse research programs in human health, bio-organic synthesis, and environmental science.
