Vote for Faculty Representatives to the Presidential Search Advisory Committee
Tomorrow is the last day for faculty to vote for representatives to the Presidential Search Advisory Committee. All faculty should have received an email yesterday with a link to an online ballot. If you did not receive an email, please contact Aracely Montes.
Convert Courses to Online Format
The College of Continuing and Professional Education (CCPE) is seeking 50 CSULB faculty to convert a face-to-face class to a 100 percent online format.
Alternative Spring Break Workshop and RFP
The Center for Community Engagement (CCE) is currently requesting faculty proposals for Alternative Spring Break 2014/2015. CCE is inviting faculty to submit proposals for the one-week spring break program that fits into the University 300I course, as well as a syllabus that aligns the program with the course work. Proposals are due October 24.
The Center for Community Engagement and The Faculty Center for Professional Development are offering a workshop for faculty interested in assistance with Alternative Spring Break proposal development on September 27, noon to 2:30 in the Faculty Center for Professional Development (LIB 507). A light lunch is provided. Faculty wishing to attend must RSVP by September 20.
Parking Permit Reminder
As of September 1, non-expiring parking permits are no longer valid. Please pick up your new parking permit before October 1 to avoid getting a citation.
Open Enrollment Period Begins Next Week
The open enrollment period for any changes to health, dental, Flexcash, certain voluntary benefits and enrollment/re-enrollment in the dependent care and healthcare reimbursement accounts plans begins Monday, September 16 and ends on Friday, October 11.

Students who need help purchasing textbooks for the spring semester are invited to apply for the John & Jon Textbook Award by the September 27 deadline.
