Campus Emergency Preparedness Drill on August 13

University Police will conduct a multi-agency response exercise to an active shooter event on campus on Tuesday, August 13.

In partnership with the Long Beach Police Department, Long Beach Fire Department, St. Mary Medical Center and other community agencies, the emergency preparedness drill will be held on the upper part of campus. Most of the activity will be centered at the south turnaround in front of the College of Education and McIntosh Humanities buildings with additional activity taking place in front of the University Library and Liberal Arts 1 Building.

The areas mentioned above will be impacted from 6 am to 2 pm, but the actual exercise is scheduled from 9:30 am to about 11:30 am. More information will be provided to faculty, staff and students as the event draws nearer.
