Farmer’s Market on Campus Today
Associated Students, Inc. is partnering with 49er Shops, Inc. and LA City Farm to host CSULB’s first-ever farmers’ market today from 11 am – 2 pm in front of the Student Recreation and Wellness Center. The event will welcome nearly a dozen farmers and feature free giveaways and music.

Change in Library Hours, Campus Road Closures on Saturday
The University Library will open at 11:30 am and close at 5 pm this Saturday, March 30 due to road closures on campus for the Compete 4 Causes 5K Run/Walk.
Road closures are expected on East Campus, South Campus and West Campus Drives as well as Beach Drive, Earl Warren Drive, Merriam Way, Deukmejian Way and State University Drive from 9 am to 11 am.

2013 Women's Research Colloquium is April 10
The President’s Commission on the Status of Women invites the campus community to attend the 2013 Women’s Research Colloquium on Wednesday, April 10 from 5 – 7:30 pm at The Pointe in the Pyramid.
The Colloquium features two presentations by CSULB faculty and/or staff about research they conducted related to women's issues. This year’s presenters are:

Child and Family Center Open House
The Child and Family Center, a NAEYC Accredited program, will be hosting its annual Open House on Friday, April 5 from 11 am – 1 pm in the Family and Consumer Sciences building (FCS) Preschool classroom FCS 107 and Toddler Classroom FCS 109.
The Child and Family Center provides childcare services to CSULB employees whose children are between 18 months and 5 years of age. The Open House serves as an opportunity for families to receive Fall 2013 enrollment applications and information, meet the lead teachers and administrators, tour the classrooms, and learn about the Center’s curriculum.

Five years after CSULB, the Long Beach Unified School District (LBUSD) and Long Beach City College (LBCC) joined together to create the Long Beach College Promise, data shows encouraging results in three key measurements of student achievement—college preparation, college access and college success.
