Creating a Safe Zone for the LGBTQI Community

Safe Zone Ally TrainingA diverse mix of faculty, staff and students will offer information and share personal experiences regarding lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning, and intersex (LGBTQI) issues at the next Safe Zone Ally training on Monday, October 7, from 8:15 am to 12:30 pm.

Those who complete the training will become part of a network of CSULB faculty, staff, and students who use their knowledge and skills to foster a welcoming, supportive, and safe campus for the LGBTQI community.

The CSULB Safe Zone Ally training has been recognized as a model for other programs.  It has drawn the attention of the California Faculty Association, which has requested a training manual that can be shared with other CSUs interested in creating their own Safe Zone Ally training.

To attend the upcoming Safe Zone Ally training, RSVP to by Tuesday, October 1, 2013. Space is limited. Visit the Safe Zone Ally website for more information.
