Salary Range

Commensurate with qualifications and experience

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Educational Leadership, Educational Research Methodology, Education Measurement, Quantitative Social Science Research or Related Field
  • Degree at time of application or official notification of completion of the doctoral degree by August 1, 2018
    An excellent record of teaching or demonstrated potential for teaching excellence at the college level appropriate to the teaching assignment.
  • A strong record or potential to develop a strong record of scholarly productivity in educational quantitative research.
    Demonstrated commitment to working successfully with a diverse student population

 

Desired/Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in program evaluation, assessment, measurement and advanced statistics.
  • Experience working in PK-12 or higher education settings.
  • Demonstrated experience in working on grant-funded evaluation and research activities.
  • Demonstrated experience in dissertation and thesis advising.
  • Demonstrated experience with leading academic programs.

 

Duties

  • Teach a wide range of research methods courses in the Educational Leadership Doctorate, and in master’s programs in student development and higher education and/or educational administration.
  • Maintain an active scholarly agenda in educational leadership.
  • Provide research methodology consultation in the Educational Leadership Program.
    Actively engage in service activities such as program coordination, student advising at the master’s and doctoral level, and faculty governance.
  • Chair and serve on master’s thesis and doctoral dissertation committees.

  • A Student Success Statement about your teaching or other experiences, successes, and challenges in working with a diverse student population (approximately one page, single-spaced)
  • Letter of application addressing the minimum and desired/preferred qualifications
  • CV (including current email address)
  • Names and contact information for three references
  • Copy of transcript from institution awarding highest degree
  • A recent writing sample, preferably reporting on empirical research.
  • Finalists will also be required to submit a signed SC-1 form, three current letters of recommendation, and an official transcript

 

A background check (including a criminal records check and telephone reference check with most recent employer) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the application status of applicants or continued employment of current CSU employees who apply for the position.
