Minimum Qualifications

  • Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated potential for effective undergraduate teaching.
  • Commitment to and/or expertise in educating a diverse student population.        

Desired/Preferred Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the field of course(s) to be taught.
  • Evidence of effective teaching experience.


  • Teach courses in Electrical Engineering at the Lancaster University Center (LUC) in Lancaster, CA, as part of CSULB’s Antelope Valley Extension Program (AVEP). Courses cover the following topics:
    • Digital Logic/System Design
    • Microprocessors & Applications
    • Analog Electronic Circuits I/II
    • Analog Electronics Labs I&II
    • Mixed-Signal IC Design
    • Matlab/Simulink
    • Probability & Statistics
    • Signals and Systems
    • Digital Signal Processing (DSP)
    • Communication Systems I/II
    • DSP for Multimedia Communications
    • Electromagnetic Fields
    • Energy Conversion
    • Control Systems & Lab
    • Designs of Control Systems
    • Digital Control
    • EE Design Seminar & Project
