SUBJECT: MINOR IN BUSINESS ECONOMICS

The following policy statement, recommended by the Academic Senate at its meeting of January 25, 1979, and approved by the President on August 28, 1979, is as follows:

MINOR IN BUSINESS ECONOMICS

The minor in Business Economics is equally suitable for students pursuing baccalaureate degrees in non-business and business fields.  This minor provides students with a strong concentration in the economic tools most closely related to business decision making.

Requirements for the Minor in Business Economics

A minimum of 24 units which must include Accounting 202 or Mathematics 115B or a departmentally approved computer science course; Economics 200, 201, 310 or 333, 311 or 320; and three of the following: Economics 380, 420, 430, 432.  Under certain circumstances, the student who declares Business Economics as a major in upper division status may, with departmental consent, substitute Economics 300 for Economics 200 and 201.
