Community Tutoring

Students in middle school, high school or even community colleges in the area can take advantage of our services too.  Community tutoring appointments let you work one-on-one with a tutor at a pre-arranged time.  Typically, community appointments are scheduled once a week for five weeks at a time.

There is a $75 fee for five one hour sessions.  (Most private tutors charge more than four times that amount!)

How to get to the LAC in the Horn Center

  • Enter the university on Merriam Way from Atherton Street. (This is the entrance nearest the Pyramid)
  • Follow Merriam Way along the Parking Structure, then turn left into Parking Lot 15. (Park at one of the many parking meters in this lot.)
  • Walk southeast along the CBA building (the only large building near Lot 15) until you see the University Art Museum.
  • The LAC is in the same building as the Art Museum, but you must enter through the main entrance, which is located on the south side of the building. (Follow the sidewalk between the bridge and the building to get there.)
  • Once inside the Horn Center, you'll find the LAC to the left of the entrance.
