  1. Click on the Tools menu item from the menu bar in Firefox. If your menu bar is not visible in Firefox, press F10 to make it appear.

  3. On the Options pop-up box, choose the Content tab.
  4. Click on the Exceptions button to the right of the "Block pop-up windows" option.
  5. Type "bbcsulb.desire2learn.com" in the "Address of website" field and press Allow. The website address should then appear in the box below.
  6. Click Close at the bottom of the box and then OK on the next screen.

You may have to reload the page or the browser for the change to take effect.

Equation Editor in BeachBoard using Firefox on a Macintosh

There is a known issue in which the Equation Editor interface will not work properly in BeachBoard when using Firefox on a Macintosh computer. This is the only scenario in which we recommend that Mac users use an alternative browser such as Safari for accessing BeachBoard.

  2. Choose Compatibility View Settings from the menu.
  3. In the Compatibility View Settings window, type "bbcsulb.desire2learn.com" in the "Add this website:" field and click "Add."

The website address should then appear in the box below with the label, "Websites you've added to Compatibility View."

Some users of Internet Explorer 8 and 9 have reported issues in BeachBoard when importing grades. It is recommended to use the Firefox web browser.

Internet Explorer 10

Some users of Internet Explorer 10 have reported issues in BeachBoard when creating, saving, and importing grade items. It is recommended to use the Firefox web browser.

Safari

Turn Off the Pop-Up Blocker

Safari doesn't natively allow you choose which sites to block pop-ups on. It only features on or off settings. It is recommended that you turn off your pop-up blocker while using Safari to access BeachBoard and turn it back on when you are done accessing BeachBoard.

  1. Click the Safari menu
  2. Click Preferences
  3. Click Security
  4. Click the "Block Pop-Up Windows" checkbox

If there is no checkmark to the left of the "Block Pop-Up Windows" option, then your pop-up blocker is already turned off.

Repeat these steps to turn the pop-up blocker back on after you are done accessing BeachBoard.
