Using CSULB Software Depot Secure Download for Macintosh

Downloading Software from CSULB Software Depot is a two part process.  The first step is to securely download your selected software application. The second step is to install the software.  Step one is essentially the same regardless of the software you are downloading and installing.  The following instructions are for downloading your selected software. Please refer to the CSULB Licensed Software page for instructions on installing your selected piece of software.

  1. When you get to the end of the checkout process for a particular piece of software, you should see a button labeled "Start Download." This will appear on the Receipt screen. Click this button to begin the download process.
  2. You will be first prompted to install the ELMS Express Secure Download Manager if it is not detected. You will need administrative rights on your computer for this installation. Click the "Download SDM" button to save and installation this software.
  3. Once you have installed the SDM Manager, it will launch and provide you with a "Start" button to download your software.
  4. Make note of where the software is saved on your computer as you will need to know its location to start the installation process for your downloaded software.
