College of Natural Sciences & Mathematics Scholarships

  • Edison Scholars Program Four $2,350 Scholarships available. Deadline to apply is 2/26/2015. For more: Eligibility and application.
    To assist students pursuing degrees in qualifying STEM majors in CSULB's College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics.
  • G2 Software Systems Scholarship One $5,000 Scholarship available. Deadline to apply is 2/26/2015. For more: Eligibility and application.
    To support students who have a career interest in math, science, technology, or engineering applications who will help invent the future and help keep the United States globally competitive by applying their talents and education in technology and science-based industries. The scholarship may be renewable from year to year. Women who are U.S. citizens are encouraged to apply.
  • Glenn M. Nagel Undergraduate Research Fellowship One $1,000 Fellowship available. Deadline to apply is 2/26/2015. For more: Eligibility and application.
    Supports a declared undergraduate biological sciences or chemistry/biochemistry major in the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics to engage in undergraduate research with a CNSM faculty member.
  • James L. Jensen Undergraduate Research Fellowship One $1,000 Fellowship available. Deadline to apply is 2/26/2015. For more: Eligibility and application.
    Supports a declared undergraduate major in the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics to engage in undergraduate research with a CNSM faculty member.
  • James Stephenson Scholarship Two $2,500 Scholarships available. Deadline to apply is 2/26/2015. For more: Eligibility and application. Supports science majors with a verified learning disability on file at DSS and demonstrated financial need. The intent of the scholarship is to assist talented students who have the added challenge of overcoming learning and financial disadvantages.
  • Carl E. Riley Endowed STEM Award One $1,400 Scholarship available. Deadline to apply is 3/5/2015. For more: Eligibility and application.
    Supports an undergraduate major in the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics or the College of Engineering.

CNSM scholarships plus other scholarships are available on the attached flyers, as well.

Scholarships at CSULB

  • The Department of Physics and Astronomy Summer Student Research Support awards $2,000 to physics majors to engage in research with a department faculty member. This award is set up by the department to reduce the time-to-graduation for graduate students and to promote research.Application is due by April 10, 2015
  • Physics Department Scholarships
    Application for AY 2014-2015 is due on April 10, 2015.We strongly encourage students to look at the available scholarships and apply. Contact the undergraduate, graduate, or thesis advisor, or the department office for any question.
