Alumnus Andrew Balogh
Andrew Balogh is a Grammy award and ASCAP award winning composer, music producer, and saxophonist, born and raised in Torrance, CA. He attended the Bob Cole Conservatory of music, and graduated in 2009. Following graduation, he began touring with the rock band Sublime with Rome (formerly known as Sublime) as their saxophonist and keyboardist performing in over 54 countries.
In 2015, Balogh signed a music publishing deal with Universal Music Group working as a record producer, vocal, string and horn arranger, and film composer. To date, he has worked with recording artists Michael Bublé, Tori Kelly, Mariah Carey, John Mayer, Ariana Grande, Coldplay, Rihanna, Bruno Mars, Kanye West, Zedd, and more, collectively selling over 30 million records worldwide. As a film composer Balogh has contributed to the scores of Dirty Grandpa featuring Robert De Niro and Zac Efron, The Outcasts featuring Victoria Justice, Netflix’s Tallulah and Amazon Prime’s Jack Ryan.
Aside from working with commercial recording artists, Balogh has worked with jazz drummer Eric Harland, pianist James Francies, bassist John Patitucci and soprano Anna Netrebko. Most notably Balogh composed two orchestral cues for the video game Kinect Star Wars; the soundtrack was recorded by the London Symphony Orchestra.
