A Southern California native, Sal plays in big bands led by Tom Kubis and Johnny Mandel and is a founding member of Gordon Goodwin’s Big Phat Band. Sal has also recorded with Christina Aguilera, Lalo Schifrin, Michael Bublé, Robbie Williams, Brian McKnight, Maynard Ferguson and Natalie Cole.

Sal has been a member of the Academy Awards Orchestra and the Dancing With The Stars House Band. Other television credits include The Emmy Awards, American Idol, The Grammy Awards, Latin Grammy Awards, ESPY Awards, America’s Got Talent, The Gala for the President at Ford’s Theatre, America’s Funniest Home Videos, The Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon, The Tonight Show, Animaniacs, Pinky and The Brain, and numerous national commercials.

His motion picture credits include The Secret Life of Pets, Sing, Ice Age: Collision Course, High School Musical 3, Public Enemies, and Happy Feet.

He is a proud endorser of Vandoren Reeds and Selmer Saxophones and conducts clinics and masterclasses around the world. For the past 22 years Sal has been a clinician for Disney Performing Arts.
