Students decorating the historic First Congregational Church in Long Beach for this year’s Winter Festival Concert.

The Winter Festival Concert features more than 200 singers ringing in the holidays with favorite carols, songs, and classical works in Long Beach’s greatest Winter extravaganza.

Set in the historic sanctuary of First Congregational Church of Long Beach, this traditional concert has thrilled audiences for over five decades. Enjoy the majesty of the great Möller organ, the supreme talents of the Southern California Brass Consortium, Pacific Handbells, and, of course, the combined voices of the CSULB choirs!

Chamber and University Choirs: On nature and the "other"

Join us for an evening of choral music celebrating nature and the "other"—people who often are marginalized. This evening of music features a variety of repertoire including a Middle Eastern folk song, a villancico from colonial Mexico, and The Story of Harriet Tubman by California composer Ron Kean. This program is intended to make the audience think—and feel—about the power of nature and those who society often sweeps aside.

Celebrating Music 2018: Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 in D Minor, Op. 125

Join our combined BCCM choirs, soloists and our BCCM orchestra for Beethoven’s most famous symphony ending in his beloved Ode to Joy. Celebrate 10 years of the naming of the Bob Cole Conservatory with the best classical music has to offer! The symphony will be preceded by Jennifer Higdon’s Blue Cathedral.
