Musical Theatre

The Voice area at the Bob Cole Conservatory provides ample opportunity for the devotee of American Musical Theatre. Students who major in Vocal Performance, Choral Education, or Theatre may audition for shows produced by the Conservatory and the Department of Theatre Arts.

Opera Institute presents: Massenet’s Chérubin

David Anglin, conductor

The Opera Institute will perform Jules Massenet’s delightful comic opera Chérubin. Massenet continues the story of the young Cherubino after his appearance in Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro. Chérubin—still a slave to his romantic infatuations—now comes to us via the sumptuous melodies of turn-of-the-century France. We feature the talented singers of the acclaimed Opera Institute in a fully-staged production with orchestra. (Sung in French with English supertitles)
