Jack Tucker, ACE, is an Emmy-nominated editor who was the first recipient of the Robert Wise Award for Promoting the Art and Craft of Film Editing. Mr. Tucker has also been producer, director, or sound editor on dramatic and documentary films. His credits include Winds of War, Shogun, The Godfather: Part III, Days of Thunder, The Butcher's Wife, and James Dean: Forever Young, for which he received an ACE Eddie nomination. He has worked on films with Orson Welles, Robert Mitchum, James Mason, and many other notables.

Mr. Tucker is the founder of CinemaEditor Magazine and served as an officer of the American Cinema Editors. In addition to CSULB, he has lectured at Ohio University, Chapman University, CSUN, UCLA, and the Inner-City Filmmaker program.

Mr. Tucker produced the award-winning documentary American Empire: An Act of Collective Madness (2012) and the soon to be released documentary Black Start. Both films are cutting-edge looks at the collapse of the "American Dream" and the vulnerability of our society. He has written a book on film editing, Twilight For The Gods: The Art and History of Film Editing, which is available through Cognella Publishers and Amazon.
