Support Services for Scheduling Coordinators

New Scheduler Training

You need to complete training before you will be given online access to build your class schedule. Hands-on training sessions are offered by Academic Scheduling staff. After you have completed training, you will be provided with a PeopleSoft account and Astra Schedule access. Contact Academic Scheduling, x5-5508 if you would like to attend a training session.

CMS Confidentiality and access forms must be completed prior to attending any training session. Forms are available on the CMS website.

PeopleSoft Business Process Guides

When you attend scheduling training, you receive Business Process Guides, but you can also view and download the most up-to-date scheduling Business Process Guides on the CMS website. These guides contain useful step-by-step detail for the various schedule building processes as well as helpful hints and notes and appendices.

Astra Schedule User Guide

Astra Schedule is the application used by Academic Scheduling and CCPE to schedule all classes and events requiring an instructional facility. You can view room availability, classes and events in various formats online, as well as building and room information. Refer to the Astra Schedule User Guide for detailed instructions on navigating the calendars and data in Astra. The User Guide contains step by step instructions, hints, terminology, and more. Astra Schedule is also covered in new scheduler training.
