CSULB Advisor Connect

The need to coordinate information across campus to focus and coordinate our activities.


Campus-wide system implementation will replace six separate tools used throughout campus, improving effectiveness and coordination. CSULB Advisor Connect to support advisor appointment and workshop scheduling, early alert tracking, and automated risk assessment.

Supporting Project

In preparation for CSULB Advisor Connect, Enrollment Services has assigned advising committees to each student based on college, major and special program. This communicates to students who their primary contacts are and helps advisors see which offices are working with which student.

Time Frame

  • August 2013: Process begins of assigning advisors.
  • November 2013: CSULB Advisor Connect project kick-off.
  • August 2014: Go-live of pilots (CLA, UCUA and SSSP)
  • Spring 2015: Expand implementation to other groups.

CSULB Advisor Connect is an enterprise student support and early alert system that engages the campus community in the academic success and overall well-being of each student. The campus-wide system supports advisors appointment and workshop scheduling, provides early alert tracking, and automated risk-assessment.
