Using "Student Center"

Introduction

The Student Center provides a "home base" for accessing your student information. Once you have logged into SSO using your Campus ID and password, click on the "myCSULB" button to launch the Student Center.

The Center is organized into sections based on the type of information. The Center displays summary information such as your class schedule, outstanding balance, and contact information. It has many options to select in order to access all of the information and transactions available.

When you navigate to another page within the Center, you can return to the "Student Center" by using the drop down menu on each page.

What are Holds & To Do Lists?

Holds

    The Holds section of the Student Center page will allow you to view holds placed on services that you are restricted from using. By clicking on the details link, you will be taken to the “Your Holds” page where you can click the hyperlink for each of the Hold(s) and view detailed information about the specific hold(s), including who to contact and instructions for removing the hold(s). For example, you may have a library fine that stops you from using their services.

  2. Step 1 Click on the “details” link.

  3. Step 2 Click on the blue hyperlink under the “Hold Item” column.

  5. Step 3 The proceeding page will give you additional information to assist you in determining the necessary steps in order to have the hold(s) removed.  If you still need more information regarding the hold(s), contact the department displayed.

To Do Lists

The To Do List section of the Student Center page will allow you to view your pending To Do List Items.  By clicking on the “details” link, you will be taken to the “To Do List” page where you can click the hyperlink for each item and view detailed information, including who to contact and instructions for the necessary action to take for resolving the pending To Do List item.

  1. Step 1 Click on the “details” link.

  2. Step 2 Click on the blue hyperlink under the “To Do Item” column.

  4. Step 3 The proceeding page will give you additional information to assist you in determining the necessary steps required to complete the “To Do Item.”  If you still need more information regarding the “To Do Item(s),” contact the department displayed.
