Student Learning Outcomes (SLO)

  1. Graduates possess a foundation of two and three-dimensional design.

  2. Graduates have knowledge of design principles in residential and non-residential projects.

  3. Graduates possess an understanding in human factors: anthropometrics, ergonomics and proxemics.

  4. Graduates have the ability to communicate concepts to peers and industry.

  5. Graduates possess an understanding of construction and building systems.

  6. Graduates possess a foundation of how products work; how products can be improved; what makes a product useful, how products are manufactured; and how ideas can be presented using state-of-the-art tools.

  7. Graduates have knowledge of CAD, and appropriate two-dimensional and three-dimensional graphic software.

  8. Graduates have knowledge of basic business practice and the history of various design industries.

  9. Graduates have the ability to present their work to colleagues, potential employers or for entry into graduate school.
