Faculty Laurels

The Film Society of Lincoln Center and Dance Film Association's 2013 Dance on Camera Festival in New York recently presented Wander/lost, directed by Dance Technology Advisor Gregory R.R. Crosby and Keith Johnson, featuring choreography and performance by Keith Johnson.

Associate Professor Lorin Johnson served as Artistic Advisor to the Los Angeles Music Center’s festival, LA’s Rite:  Stravinsky, Innovation and Dance for the 10th Anniversary of Glorya Kaufman Presents Dance at the Music Center.  Here at CSULB, Prof. Johnson coordinated a fascinating and inspirational lecture by dance historians Millicent Hodson and Kenneth Archer on January 30, in which Hodson and Archer spoke about the seven years it took them to reconstruct Nijinsky’s Rite of Spring, a ballet that had been lost to history.
