Liz Curtisis a dance educator, performer and choreographer who received her M.F.A. and B.A. in Dance from California State University, Long Beach where she currently teaches Introduction to Ballet and Pilates. She also teaches Intermediate and Advanced Modern Technique at Chapman University, Pilates at Rio Hondo College and all levels of Jazz Technique and Salsa at Glendale Community College where she has also taught Improvisation/Composition, Latin/Standard Ballroom and Commercial Dance. Prior to teaching in higher education, she taught and served as the dance school director at Caballero Dance in Atwater Village, Los Angeles, CA.

She has experience teaching, performing, and choreographing in both the commercial and concert dance worlds. Her performance experience includes concert works by Doug Varone, Gerald Casel, John Pennington, Susan McLain and Cyrus Parker-Jeannette. Her commercial dance experience includes work in film, television, music videos, Las Vegas, international tours and cruise ships. Her choreography has been presented on stage, television, screendance and site-specific works. In March 2015 her piece je ne sais quoi, a work created for Glendale Community College, was selected to represent GCC at the American College Dance Festival.

In addition to dance, she is a graduate of The Sanford Meisner Center's Professional Acting Certificate Program in North Hollywood and she received her Pilates certification with Dance Specialization through BASI under the training of Karen Clippinger.
