Heather Glabe is a California-based dance artist who graduated with highest honors from UCSB, earning a BFA in Dance and a BA in Communication.  She relocated to San Francisco and co-founded Vispo Dance, a collective dedicated to the creation of accessible, visually evocative work.  Vispo Dance’s work has been supported by a Zellerbach grant and performed in such venues as Dance Mission Theater, Cowell Theater, 111 Minna, and ODC Theater.  In addition to her work with Vispo Dance, Heather enjoyed performing professionally with several Bay Area-based companies including: little seismic dance company, Kate Mitchell and Dancers, Company Chaddick, and Dance Continuum SF.  Heather is presently in her third year at CSULB in the MFA program in Dance where she has had the privilege of teaching such courses as Beginning Ballet, Introduction to Modern Dance, and Intermediate Modern.  She is the honored recipient of both the Betty Dupont Scholarship (2011) and the Baker Scholarship (2012).  Heather’s graduate thesis work aims to engage dance audiences through irony and humor.
