Students must complete the following requirements within one calendar year of declaring their major. Some students may need to take courses during Summer Session to meet these requirements. At the end of the year, students who haven't met the requirements must either declare another major or meet with an academic advisor to determine if the student's performance in the courses merits an additional semester to complete.
Faculty advisors and the Engineering Student Success Center's Academic Advisors can help assess your degree progress. You can also track your progress on MyCSULB's Degree Planner and Academic Requirements Report, which are tools to help plan your schedule and ensure you're on track toward graduation. For assistance with navigating these tools please visit the ESSC Advising Office (EN2-304A).
