Henry Yeh received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering and a M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, from University of California, Irvine, in 1982 and 1979, respectively, a B.S. degree in Engineering Science, from National Chen Kung University, Taiwan, ROC, in 1978.
He has been with the Electrical Engineering department at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) since 1983, as a Professor since 1986. His research activities have included DSP/Communication/Control algorithms development using MATLAB, and implementation using FPGA and digital signal processors, and smart grids, including optimization and controls, electrical event detection and power line communications. His areas of expertise are real-time Digital Signal Processing, Wi-Fi and Wi-MAX, adaptive systems, and mobile communication in multipath. Dr. Yeh has more than 70 technical publications in the areas of Signal Processing, Communications, and Controls. He has been granted four US patents, and received five NASA JPL awards; and one the Aerospace Corporation Inventor's Award.
In addition to his technical and engineering excellence, he was selected as a NASA JPL Summer Faculty Fellow twice, in 1992 and 2003, respectively. He was selected as Boeing Welliver Faculty Fellow in 2006. He was awarded the Northrop Grumman Excellence in teaching award, College of Engineering, CSULB, 2007. He received the Distinguished Faculty Scholarly and Creative Achievement Award, CSULB, 2009. Dr. Yeh has been a consultant for many companies, such as JPL, Texas Instruments, the Aerospace Corp., AT&T, etc. He is a senior IEEE member and professional engineer in Electrical.
