Dr. Vesna Terzic
Dr. Terzic joined the CSULB Civil Engineering and Construction Engineering Management Department in Fall 2014. She obtained her PhD in Structural Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley in 2009; MS in Earthquake Engineering from the University Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Macedonia in 2005, and BS in Structural Engineering from the University of Belgrade, Serbia in 2003. Prior to joining CSULB, Dr. Terzic worked as a postdoctoral scholar and a researcher and lecturer at the University of California, Berkeley.
Dr. Terzic's primary research interests are in the probabilistic performance-based seismic design and evaluation of buildings and bridges, functionally resilient structural systems, downtime modeling, hybrid simulation experimental technique, and visualization and management of information on the earthquake performance of structures. Dr. Terzic has worked on research projects supported by Caltrans, Pacific Earthquake Engineering Research Center, and the National Science Foundation. She is a member of ATC-58-2 project team and serves as a member of US Resilience Council technical committee./p>
Dr. Terzic actively participates in national and international conferences on earthquake and structural engineering and publishes research papers in peer-reviewed journals such as Journal of Structural Engineering, Journal of Bridge Engineering, and ACI Structural Journal. She also serves as a reviewer for the Journal of Structural Engineering and Earthquake Engineering and Structural Dynamics.
