Dr. Emelinda Parentela, P.E.
Dr. Parentela holds a BS in Civil Engineering from the Philippines, an ME in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical) from the Asian Institute of Technology in Thailand, and an MS and PhD in Civil Engineering (Transportation) from University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Her research interests include transportation safety, transportation modeling, geographic information systems-based modeling, and transportation risk assessment. Prior to joining CSULB, she worked as a transportation researcher, and as a geotechnical engineer involved on various projects such as port development, communication towers, dams, roads, and buildings.
