Dr. Shin previously worked at Korea Financial Investment Association, a self-regulatory organization in Korean Capital Market, and was appointed as a member of the Secretariat of International Council of Securities Associations. Dr. shin has received his PhD degree from Michigan State University and teaches undergraduate financial management and graduate corporate finance courses. His primary area of research is empirical corporate finance, with a particular interest in family firms. Dr. Shin won the AsianFA Conference Best Paper Award, Credit Scoring and Credit Rating Conference Best Paper Award and the CAFM Best Dissertation Award, in addition to the MARC Outstanding Paper Award.
