G2 Software Systems Scholarship

This $5,000 scholarship was established by Georgia Griffiths, President and Founder of G2 Software Systems, Inc. Georgia earned a math degree in 1973 and was the first in her immediate family to graduate from college. She received the University's Distinguished Alumna award in 2008. Her intent is to support students who will help invent the future and help keep the United States globally competitive by applying their talents and education in technology and science-based industries. The scholarship may be renewable from year to year. Women who are U.S. citizens are encouraged to apply.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Career interest in technology and science-based industry working with math, science, technology, or engineering applications;
  2. Demonstrated leadership as evidenced by participation in campus or community organizations;
  3. Declared major or pre-major in the departments of Biological Sciences, Chemistry and Biochemistry, Geological Sciences, Mathematics and Statistics, or Physics and Astronomy;
  4. 3.0 GPA or better; and enrolled as a full-time student (12 units minimum);
  5. Sophomore, junior or senior not graduating before spring semester of the next academic year.

Completed applications are due Thursday, February 18, 2016 at 4:00pm. Submit completed applications via e-mail at scholarships@csulb.edu.

Selection will be made by a faculty committee convened by the Dean.
