Freshmen Orientation

Welcome to CSULB and the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics (CNSM)! We are excited to help you, the newest members of our CNSM community, acclimate to life at The Beach. A smooth transition to college life will encourage your achievement and success during your time at CSULB.

  • An opportunity to learn how to be a successful students in CNSM
  • A chance to learn what programs and opportunities are available in CNSM
  • An opportunity to hear about the various Academic Departments in CNSM

Did you sign up for SOAR?

Science and math freshmen are STRONGLY encouraged to attend the only exclusive CNSM Freshmen SOAR session offered this summer on Tuesday, July 7, 2015. ALL NEW STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND SOAR.

To Register: Visit the SOAR website to begin signing up for SOAR Sessions. Space is limited.

Parent and Family Programs (PFP)

Event Date: TBA

Parents and family members are invited to attend the Parent Orientation Program. This program is designed to answer common questions parents have about their student's transition to college. The program will feature speakers from a variety of campus resources.
