Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students (ABRCMS 2013)

  • Each year, the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics (CNSM) through the Jensen SAS Center, sends a group of students to attend the ABRCMS. This year, five CNSM student research programs, Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP), the Research Initiative for Science Enhancement (RISE), Maximizing Access to Research Careers (MARC) HSI-STEM and Bridges to the Baccalaureate (Bridges) were represented with twenty (20) students attending the conference in Nashville, Tennessee. From CSULB, sixteen (16) students presented their original research projects, fifteen were poster presentations and one was an oral presentation. Two students won awards for outstanding presentations.
