CSULB's Norbert Schürer will speak on “Novel Berlin: Literary Images of a Changing City”

Berlin LectureProfessor Norbert Schürer will be presenting a lecture titled “Novel Berlin: Literary Images of a Changing City”. The lecture will explore how Europe’s premier city is represented in literature of the 1920s, described during the Cold War, and reimagined after the fall of the Berlin Wall. He’ll present some of Berlin’s most fascinating and funny stories as told by authors like Christopher Isherwood, Ian McEwan, Christa Wolf, and Günter Grass.
