Ambassador Cameron Munter Speaks on U.S-Pakistan Relations

Cameron Munter served as a U.S. Foreign Service Officer for nearly three decades before his retirement in fall 2012. He was Ambassador to Pakistan from 2010‐2012, guiding U.S.‐ Pakistani relations through a period of severe crisis, including the operation against Osama Bin Laden in Abbottabad, and the latest phase of the Afghan War. Prior to his appointment as Ambassador to Pakistan, Munter served in several capacities in Baghdad, Iraq, overseeing U.S. civilian and military cooperation in planning the drawdown of U.S. troops. Ambassador Munter’s talk will address U.S. relations with Pakistan in light of the expected drawdown of American troops in Afghanistan in 2014.
