The Dean's Circle

“The mission of the College of Health & Human Services (CHHS) at California State University Long Beach is to “Connect, Discover, Educate” and whose vision is to become nationally and internationally recognized as an innovator and leader in community connections, the discovery of knowledge, and for educating diverse students in the health and human services professions.”

Purpose and Goal

The Dean’s Circle was founded as the College’s premier support group to create new opportunities for “leadership” giving and to recognize the College’s most loyal and generous donors (individuals, foundations and corporations) for their generosity. It also serves to create a greater tradition of private philanthropy and stronger affiliation within the College’s related Schools and Departments.

Members of The Dean’s Circle are enrolled for their major gift support to the College that has created opportunities for current and future students to make an impact in the health and human services professions. The Dean’s Circle members are comprised of our alumni, traditional and new donors – whose contributions are vital to advancing the College’s academic mission and reputation.

Levels of Recognition

The levels of recognition in The Dean’s Circle are based upon the donors’ historic cumulative giving to the College of Health & Human Services including cash, pledges, in-kind and planned (bequests, trusts, etc.) gifts.
