Graduate Program Expected Completion Rates

The Department only accepts students who have completed the required undergraduate pre-requisites (whether through completion of an undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) or through completion of a non-CSD undergraduate degree and post-baccalaureate leveling courses).

Due to curriculum revisions, effective Fall 2019, the expected number of terms for program completion for full-time students is 5 semesters (2.5 years. Fall and Spring only). This is based on an average of 12 units per term (full-time).  Expected number of terms for program completion for part-time students will vary given numbers of units per term.

For students entering the program before Fall 2019, the expected number of terms for program completion for full-time students is 2.5-3 years depending on completion of one or two internships (2.5 Years = 5 semesters, (one internship); 3 Years = 6 semesters, (two internships)). This is based on an average of 9 units per term (full-time).  Expected number of terms for program completion for part-time students will vary given numbers of units per term.
